1977年ITT（埃梯梯）集团收购GALFER并为当时ITT旗下的制动部门生产售后刹车片。

1987年作为全球领先的刹车片供应商，GALFER研发了全球第一个无石棉的刹车片配方。
1990年第二家工厂在意大利泰尔莫利开业。

2009年ITTFriction开设在捷克的Ostrava的新工厂，生产各种刹车片。
